Synopsis:
On his 16th birthday, Georg receives an old letter from his deceased father, Jan Olav. The letter tells of a fairy-tale romance and the persistent and adventurous search for the orange girl. Laden with a bag of oranges, she once stood in a tram, and Jan Olav fell in love with her on the spot. But as quickly as the beauty had appeared, she had disappeared again, like a fairy. For months, Jan Olav searched everywhere for her, following her mysterious traces, which had transformed his familiar world into something wonderful.
On a winter trip to an endless snowy landscape, Georg delves into his father's life story – until the journey into the past becomes a vision for his own future, and Georg discovers that the world of wonders is often just a step away from his own front door.
