Synopsis:
The eccentric recluse Pettersson has long since grown accustomed to his quiet life in the Swedish countryside – but on gray days, he feels the loneliness more than ever.
His warm-hearted neighbor Beda can no longer stand by and watch, so she decides to give him a cat. The cheeky four-legged friend answers to the name Findus – and soon wins the old man's heart in no time.
One morning, while Pettersson is calmly reading his newspaper, Findus becomes impatient: he discovers a pair of clown pants on one page and exclaims enthusiastically, “I want some like that too!”
Pettersson doesn't waste any time, sewing the little cat his iconic pants, baking him a pancake cake – and soon stops being surprised that his new roommate can talk. This is the beginning of a chaotic friendship...
The first live-action film featuring an animated cat, based on the popular children's book series “Pettersson and Findus” by Sven Nordqvist.
