Synopsis:
Tortuga – The Incredible Journey of the Sea Turtle tells the story of one of the most extraordinary migrations in the animal world. Born on a beach in Florida, a small sea turtle embarks on a dangerous and exciting journey. For over 200 million years, it has been following the same route that its ancestors took. So it too sets off and follows the Gulf Stream towards Antarctica. It swims across the entire North Atlantic to Africa and then returns. An odyssey that ends after 25 years at its point of origin, where it once hatched from an egg. But only one in ten thousand sea turtles survives and returns to the beach in Florida to lay its eggs again. Will the sea turtle brave the many dangers of the ocean and continue the eternal cycle of its ancestors?
